Randal Systems Takes Part in the Spanish Parliament’s Blue Economy Conference

Randal Systems had the honor of participating in the Parliamentary Conference “Blue Economy: Challenges and Opportunities”, held in the Constitutional Hall of the Spanish Congress of Deputies. The event brought together representatives from the public sector, the maritime-port industry, fisheries, energy, and innovation to discuss the key challenges and opportunities shaping the Blue Economy in Spain.

As a member of both the Spanish Maritime Cluster and the Andalusian Maritime-Marine Cluster (CMMA), Randal Systems shares the vision of strengthening cooperation between institutions and companies to drive sustainable, competitive, and innovative growth within the maritime sector.


The first session, focused on the maritime-port industry, featured key speakers such as Elena Seco García-Valdecasas (ANAVE), Javier Garat Pérez (Spanish Maritime Cluster), Gustavo González de Vega (Government of the Canary Islands), Carlos Botana Lagarón (Port Authority of Vigo), Ignacio Álvarez-Ossorio Ramos (Andalusian Ports Agency), and Antoni Mercant (Government of the Balearic Islands), moderated by MP Juan Antonio Rojas.

The second session addressed fisheries, tourism, and innovation, with contributions from Mercedes Pardo (Blue Education Association), Juan Virgilio Márquez López (Wind Energy Business Association), Tomás Azcárate Díaz de Losada (Spanish Federation of Marinas and Nautical Tourism), Dr. Julio Morón Ayala (OPAGAC & Cepesca), Gabriel Mato (European Parliament), and José Francisco Fernández Aparicio (PYMAR).

Throughout the sessions, participants emphasized the need for a national strategy to promote education, research, and technological development, reinforcing Spain’s role as a European leader in the Blue Economy.
